Foreword
On 5th of April 2009 held parliamentary elections. The Communist Party obtained 49.48% of votes, representing 60 seats. Opposition parties declared frauded elections .

On 7th of April in Chisinau, capital of Moldova, were protests against election fraud. Protests degenerated into violent actions. See a timeline of the events on right column of the site.

Electing president of Moldova are required 61 votes. Communist Party could not elect the president with 60 seats.

Parliament was dissolved and early elections are organised on 29th of July.
