On 5th of April 2009 held parliamentary elections. The Communist Party obtained 49.48% of votes, representing 60 seats. Opposition parties declared frauded elections .

Electing president of Moldova are required 61 votes. Communist Party could not elect the president with 60 seats.
Parliament was dissolved and early elections are organised on 29th of July.
